MISSION:

At Quantoom Biosciences, we are looking for a talented Global South Sales Director to join our growing Sales team, you will report directly to the Head of Products, Marketing and Sales.

As a Global South Sales Director, your ultimate objective is to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth in three Regions: (1) Latin America (LATAM), (2) Middle East – Africa (MEA), and (3) South-East Asia (SEA). You lead the sales development tactics in liaison with our different internal departments like marketing, production, supply chain, quality assurance. You will build / manage a small team of motivated (Senior) Business Developers and one dedicated Customer Officer to cover the territories you are responsible for.


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • You will develop a sales tactical plan taking into account the role of funding bodies in line with the specificities of eachtarget territory. 
  • You will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of up to three (Senior) Business Developers and a Customer Officer to drive sales growth and achieve sales targets.
  • You will support your team of Business Developers in identifying, generating & qualifying new business opportunities, understanding theclient’s needs and translating them into a technical & commercial proposals, up to the negotiation and the contracting phase (incl. financing & delivery terms) for the deal closing. This might also occasionally be performed by you directly.
  • You will provide continuous coaching to your team for outlining and realising the company’s growth strategy. You translate this into a Sales plan and make it concrete with critical success factors, objectives, and action lists.
  • You will work in close relationship with Marketing to align and implement the Sales strategy and tactics with the Go-to-Market plans.
  • You will provide input (market field feedback) to marketing and management for products’ lifecycle management and new development ideas.


ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Develop and nurture a high performing sales team in the Regions you manage.
  • Plan, develop and implement tactical plans to reach sales targets in defined territories.
  • Perform regular sales forecasting and pipeline reviews to ensure evolving sales projections meet yearly targets and foster effective resources allocation.
  • Effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders such as quality, regulatory, project management, production & supply chain to ensure timely service to the customers.
  • Fully leverage the CRM tool and data analytics to evaluate sales activities effectiveness and make data driven decisions. 
  • Make appropriate reporting on won projects, pipeline, forecasts, opportunities lost.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with existing customers, while striving for better understanding of their business goals and needs.
  • Lead and motivate staff to continuously improve customer experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Business Development team to ensure ethical and compliant conduct. 
  • Monitor market trends, the competition landscape, and maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics, notably by participating to industry exhibitions and forums.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration. Any additional advanced degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or Bioprocessing at large is a strong plus.
  • +10 years of experience in business development or sales roles including leadership within a fast-paced and dynamic start-up/scale-up environment, with exposure to technical industries such as technical instrumentations, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to deliver key messages to internal and external audiences, including C-Suite.
  • Strong global business acumen, thriving in multicultural environments as the three Regions under leadership follow varying customs and traditions.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Any additional language relevant to your Regions is an asset (e.g. Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.).
  • At ease with daily work spanning a large spectrum of time zones.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50% of the time.
